World Products Merlin III Engine Blocks

World Products used their 15-plus years of experience manufacturing Merlin blocks for competition to develop these affordable, CNC-machined versions that are perfect for marine, ET bracket racing, and street use. These Merlin III blocks incorporate reinforced bulkheads and main webs, thicker decks, and a priority main oiling system.

Specifications are as follows:

* Made from high-density cast iron
* 9.800 in. or 10.200 in. deck heights with .600 in. minimum thickness
* Dry sump valley scavenge lines drilled
* Clearanced for 4.375 in. stroker crankshaft (H-beam steel rods for 9.800 in. deck), or 4.750 in. clearance for 10.200 in. deck
* Integral mount for spin-on oil filter
* Dry sump systems can feed from front or rear of block
* Can be bored to 4.625 in. maximum
* Water jackets expanded for better cooling
* Standard Chevy cam location and cam bearings
* Priority main oiling system for maximum reliability
* Solid pan rails with stock spacing
* OEM starter, fuel pump, and engine mounts (dual)
* Blind tapped head bolt holes for extra integrity
* 100 percent compatible with OEM parts
* Indexed lifter bores
* Integral boss for front-feed oiling systems

* Extra head bolt bosses in valley to accommodate special racing heads
